Menopause is a significant turning point in every woman’s life, typically occurring between the ages of 45 and 55. As you approach the end of your reproductive years, you naturally experience a wide range of physical and emotional changes all at once, and it can be a little overwhelming. But our dedicated team of healthcare professionals at Central Clinic for Women is here to help you through this important transition, and we’ll help you navigate this journey with confidence and comfort!
Our experienced healthcare professionals have been providing trusted menopause care in Little Rock for decades, and we’re here to provide comprehensive care and guidance tailored to your specific needs and concerns. We recognize that each woman's experience is unique, and we provide individualized care for each patient. Here’s a quick look at just a few of the services we offer as a part of Baptist Health Women's Clinic, and we’re a phone call away when you’re ready to schedule your first appointment:
Bone Health Assessments -Women entering menopause are at an increased risk for osteoporosis, and we strongly recommend regular bone health assessments for women aged 65 and older, as well as anyone who has broken a bone after age 50 or has certain other risk factors. The assessment is quick and painless and typically includes a medical history, physical exam, and bone density testing.
Mammography -We strongly recommend annual mammograms for women over 40, which allow doctors to spot signs of breast cancer or any abnormalities that may not be felt during a routine breast health exam. We offer state-of-the-art 3D mammography so our doctors can view the breasts at multiple angles for the most accurate real-time diagnoses possible!
Overall Health -Women going through menopause predictably experience a wide range of unpleasant physical symptoms, including hot flashes and night sweats, changes in menstrual patterns, and vaginal dryness and discomfort; they’re also prone to insomnia and other sleep disturbances, mood swings, and irritability. Our team of healthcare professionals is here to develop a holistic plan to support you through this significant life transition and help you maintain your overall health and well-being. If you ever have additional questions or experience any side effects after taking new medications, contact us immediately for further instructions.
